It is really important to ensure that theatres and interpreters are given feedback so that the deaf community can recomment the best interpreter. Daryl is this person.

Daryl surprised me with his high level of skill and ability to manage the script, voices and flow of the panto. His indication of when to look at the stage allowed me to watch him and the show without being confused.

I thought he was amazing, even though I don’t need a signer but can sign to a degree !! I understood what he was signing and really enjoyed watching him as he was soo expressive and I found it really enjoyable to watch the signed singing, which was fabulous.

He really got into the role and I found myself watching him more so than the actors. The best signer I have ever seen at a performance!

I have to say, It caught my attention ! He was so into each charácter !! Lots and lots of face expressions and it really made me enjoy the show even more. ​

Even my daughter could not kept her 👀 away from him !

He was so amazing! I fall in love with him as a result of his amazing face expressions, small dance and his signing. Please, please stay in the theatre for next time. No negative things about him. Would love to watch him again

All I can say is that he (Daryl) was absolutely amazing, His body language was amazing and the way he shows the different role and their character meant I could tell who was talking.

In the past when going to the theatre I have tended to not watch the signer as I have found them too boring and there has not been enough expression or characterisation!

The interpreter Daryl McMullan, he was AMAZING! The best one I have seen in a long time. I am not the only one who said this… Daryl really got into all the roles of the different actors, he was very expressive and enjoyable to watch, so engaging. Daryl was excellent in becoming the character just before the actors came on stage, this helps us what was coming next – so clever!

I was pleased to see that you used the same BSL interpreter for the Dick Whittington performance today.

Again the interpreter, Daryl was superbly fluent with the whole show, especially as some songs were very quick paced. He was able to keep up with improvised dialogue such as when some children were invited on stage and cast members interacted with specific individuals in the audience.

My family and I went to the Theatre Royal Plymouth on Friday evening to watch a performance of 42nd Street and we were so impressed with the BSL interpreter!
